FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the format?

The tournament will follow a shotgun-style, four-person scramble format, designed for golfers of all experience levels. Each team will begin at a different hole, allowing all groups to start and finish around the same time. Players will use the best shot from their team on each stroke until the hole is completed. This format keeps the pace fun and social while still offering competitive play. Prizes will be awarded for the lowest team scores and on-course contests such as longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole-in-one challenges.

I want to play, but I don’t have a team to join. Can I participate?

Yes! Individual players are welcome and encouraged to register. We will place individual golfers into teams prior to the event to ensure everyone has a full foursome. This is a great way to meet new people, network, and enjoy the day. Pairings will be based on skill levels when possible to maintain balanced teams and a fun, competitive atmosphere.

Can I participate if I don't play golf at all?

Absolutely. Links on the Links is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for everyone. We will host golf and pickleball clinics led by professional instructors for beginners and non-golfers who want to learn and have fun. There will also be opportunities to enjoy the clubhouse, breakfast, and the 19th Hole Awards Celebration, making it a wonderful social experience even if you don’t play golf.

Do you need volunteers?

Yes. Volunteers play a vital role in the success of this event. We welcome individuals who can assist with registration, hospitality, player coordination, on-course contests, photography, and the awards reception. Volunteering is a great way to be part of the excitement while supporting a meaningful cause. To learn more, please contact our volunteer coordinator for available roles and shifts.

Can children and teens participate?

Yes. Young golfers and teens are welcome to participate in the tournament or in the junior golf clinics, depending on their age and skill level. This event is a great way to introduce younger players to the game in a friendly and encouraging environment. Children who are not playing are also welcome to attend with adult supervision to enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere and outdoor activities.

What are the prizes?

Prizes will be awarded to the top-performing teams and contest winners, including longest drive, closest to the pin, putting competition, and hole-in-one. Additional raffles and giveaways will take place throughout the day, featuring high-quality items donated by our sponsors. All participants will also receive commemorative swag bags filled with event gifts and sponsor products.
